Punahou Alumni Association Japan hosted a reception in Tokyo to bid farewell to Punahou President Jim Scott ’70. At the March 20 event at the Tokyo American Club, former sumo wrestler and performer Konishiki sang Hawaiian tunes and thrilled the audience with his buff ‘n blue hair dyed for the occasion.
Celebrations honoring Scott’s 25-year tenure have circled the globe. From London to Tokyo, alumni and friends have used the occasion to gather, network and bid him a warm aloha.
Scott has been an ardent supporter of PAA’s chapter in Asia and has visited with alumni in the area frequently over the years. They returned the appreciation by presenting Scott with a special bottle of Suntory Yamazaki 12-year aged whiskey, labeled especially for him.
