Beep, beep! It’s Takeout Tuesday, when we feature alumni-owned restaurants and food establishments in a video review. Let’s support these and other locally owned small businesses by ordering takeout.

Gourmet Foods Hawaii is a family-run food distribution company located at 734 Kopke St. in Kalihi. It’s owned and run by Possie Dudgeon ’86 Badham and Shannon Dudgeon ’88 Piper. While the company usually sells to hotels, restaurants, caterers and airlines, it has pivoted to sell to consumers during the coronavirus pandemic. Each week, Gourmet Foods Hawaii has a wide variety of “Take-A-Way Gourmet” food and pantry items that range from super fancy to very simple. Orders must be made in advance by calling (808) 841-8071 or emailing info@gourmetfoods-hawaii.com. For safety reasons, walk-up orders are not accepted.
