Hall of Fame: Geoffrey Zawtocki (1990)

Geoffrey Zawtocki’s dominating speed helped lead the Buff ’n Blue to state titles in track and field and soccer. His career includes all-conference and all-state honors, game-winning goals and record-setting performances.

After leading the ILH in scoring in 1990, Zawtocki was named the Co-ILH Player of the Year in soccer. That year, he scored the game-winning goal in the state championship to lead Punahou to the title.

In track and field, Zawtocki won state titles in the 100-meter (1990) and 200-meter dashes (1989, 1990) and was a part of the 4×100-meter relay team that set the state meet record in 1989. He also set ILH meet records in the 200-meter dash in 1989 and 1990. The sprinter helped Punahou to state track and field titles in 1989 and 1990, and was named the co-captain and team MVP in his senior year – when he was selected as the C. Dudley Pratt Award recipient.

Zawtocki competed in both sports at Dartmouth and earned All-Ivy honors in track and field.
