Flaming ‘P’ 2019 Shines

Hundreds of students, families and alumni turned out last Friday for a lively Flaming “P” ceremony.

Leading up to the lighting of the “P,” the Punahou Marching Band and the Oahu College Band performed on Rice Field, and Junior School teachers and others led the crowd in cheers.

The culminating festivity was a fire knife show with Matagi Thompson ’21, D.J. Utu ’21, Jonah Henry ’20 and Malcolm Liufau ’20. The evening ended with the lighting of the “P” and a loud cheer of “Strawberry Shortcake.”

Watch highlights from the festive evening.
