Last week, kindergartners and first graders enjoyed a festive celebration filled with music, movement and meaningful moments as part of their holiday activities.
The kindergartners were welcomed to President Mike Latham’s home, where he read them a Christmas story and shared the story of Jesus Christ while gathered around a Nativity scene of white ceramic figurines. The students listened attentively as they learned about the season in a warm and memorable setting.
The next day, the kindergartners spread holiday cheer by singing Christmas carols to the first graders before cheering them on at the Jingle Bell Run during PE class. Despite the rainy weather, the first graders enthusiastically ran the track, showing plenty of energy and having tons of fun.
The celebration concluded with the kindergartners walking to the cafeteria to sing more Christmas carols, followed by a special surprise visit from Santa Claus. Students enjoyed chocolate chip cookies and juice as they wrapped up a joyful holiday experience together.
Mahalo to President Latham, faculty and staff for creating such a special and meaningful holiday celebration for our K – 1 students.
