Holiday cheer and the excitement of reunited friends filled the President’s Pavilion for Mingle and Jingle, the annual holiday event for young alumni.
This year, for the first time, Academy seniors were also invited to join in the fun and learn more about opportunities for alumni.
This event is popular with recently graduated classes, many of whom are returning from mainland colleges. A long line for Waiola Shave Ice snaked through the pavilion, as alumni waited for the familiar tastes of lychee, li hing mui and rainbow shave ice, topped with condensed milk and mochi balls.
Aunty Reney Ching and crew served up ‘ono poke bowls. President Mike Latham ’86 and former PAA President Stephanie Chun ’97 Nomura welcomed the crowd with Alumni Relations staff and PAA volunteers who also offered alumni swag to take home.
