Punahou School welcomed the community to campus on Friday, Feb. 6, and Saturday, Feb. 7, for Punahou Carnival 2026: Welcome to the Jungle!, continuing a cherished tradition that dates back to 1932.

Hosted by the Junior Class of 2027, the two-day event showcased months of student planning and leadership. From selecting this year’s jungle-inspired theme to organizing booths, media opportunities and logistics, juniors played a central role in bringing the Carnival experience to life.

Guests enjoyed E.K. Fernandez rides, student-run games and live musical entertainment throughout campus. The Variety Show, Silent Auction and the state’s largest Art Gallery – featuring more than 1,000 works by nearly 300 Hawai‘i artists – were among the event’s highlights.

The food and specialty booths offered Carnival favorites like fresh malasadas, gyros, mango chutney, teri burgers and Portuguese bean soup, while the White Elephant tent featured housewares, clothing, books, toys and hidden treasures for sale.

More than 4,500 volunteers – including students, parents, faculty, staff and alumni – supported the effort. Proceeds from the Carnival benefit Punahou’s need-based financial aid program, which supports more than 700 students each year.
