When Kāne Ng-Osorio P’26 first joined the Punahou Parent Faculty Association (PFA) as a Kindergarten parent during the 2013 – 2014 school year, he began a journey of service that would span over a decade. Over the years, Kāne stepped into numerous critical roles – from Digital Media and Long Range Planning Chair to PFA President-Elect and eventually President during the 2021 – 2022 school year. Navigating the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kāne worked shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow leaders Sheree Herrera, Shandis Ching, Ivy Asano, and Mike Lee to reinvent PFA events under strict health guidelines. Through it all, his collaborative spirit shone brightly as he rallied passionate parent volunteers, always quick to share his deep gratitude for everyone who stepped up to help and for the vital support of PFA Coordinator Lee Ann Ichimura.
Kāne’s dedication culminated in some of his most cherished memories during the 2025 Carnival. Serving as Carnival Co-Chair, Kāne partnered with Jill Reppun and a phenomenal team of Division Heads to lead the Class of 2026 students and parents through two years of intense preparation and execution. This massive undertaking was a true family affair: his wife, Jackie, served as the Parent Booth Chair for Shirts & Materials, while his daughter, Petra, stepped up as a Student Booth Chair. For Kāne, sharing the late nights, mutual support, and ultimate triumph of the event with his family made the experience unforgettable. He carried that same supportive energy into the 2026 Carnival as part of the Variety Show Security team.
In recognition of his steadfast leadership, immense generosity of time, and lasting impact on the Buff ’n Blue community, Kāneali‘i Ng-Osorio was officially honored with the prestigious PFA Above and Beyond Award at the May PFA Monthly Gathering. As his daughter graduates with the Class of 2026, the Punahou community extends its deepest gratitude to Kāne for always going above and beyond to make the school a warmer, more vibrant place for everyone.
