The Academy Quad came alive on Friday as students gathered for the Punahou Multicultural Celebration, an event highlighting the diverse cultures within the school community. From cultural games to interactive learning activities and delicious treats, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Hosted by the Shanti Alliance Club, the event featured a variety of cultural and identity groups, including the Black Student Union, SAGA Club, Latin and Hispanic Heritage Club, Thai Lao Club, South Asian Club, Polynesian Club, Chinese Club, Korean Club, Filipino Club and Japoki Club.
Academy Spanish language faculty member Cindy Murillo Fonseca, Academy English faculty member Janelle Wells and Dean Wendi Kamiya helped organize the event, which continues to grow in its second year.
