PUEO reaffirmed its partnership with HIDOE in a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), renewed in 2022 through 2029. The MOU strengthens this public/private partnership by confirming HIDOE course credit for successfully completed PUEO courses, and granting access to student records allowing PUEO to better evaluate and monitor the program’s impact. Collaborative work with HIDOE also produced a unique Financial Literacy course, popular with PUEO scholars. The program’s commitment to excellence continued to receive accolades, from a broad array of institutions such as the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (2018) and the Hawai‘i State Board of Education.
