Commencement 2019

Family, friends and faculty celebrated the Class of 2019’s graduation at Saturday’s Commencement ceremony, which also paid tribute to retiring Punahou President Jim Scott ’70.

“You are one of the most diverse, most accomplished Punahou graduating classes in recent memory, and you have been awesome,” Scott told the graduates gathered at the University of Hawaii‘i’s Stan Sheriff Center.

Remember these moments together and remember the community you have created. Store it, hold it, carry it with you. Pay the gift of education forward.

The Class of 2019’s commencement coincides with Scott’s graduation to retirement after 25 years. To commemorate the event, a representative from the Class gave Scott his own special diploma. Students also paid tribute to Scott by singing a song from his own graduation ceremony.
