The Punahou Alumni Association (PAA) celebrated an extraordinary group of alumni, students, and volunteers on Tuesday, June 2, recognizing individuals whose leadership, service, innovation, and dedication have endured through the years. The evening honored distinguished alumni including John Hara ’57, recipient of the prestigious “O” in Life Award; Wendy Crabb, inaugural recipient of the Lei Hala Award; Māpuana Howell de Silva ’67, recipient of the Charles S. Judd Jr. Humanitarian Award; D. Dangaran ’11, recipient of the Emerging Innovator Award; and Old School Award recipients William “Speedy” Bailey ’71, Laurel Bowers Husain ’71, and Philip “Pip” White ’66 (posthumously).
The ceremony also recognized the achievements of graduating seniors Ilyana Alba ’26, Cooper Konishi ’26, and Riley Mishina ’26, who received the PAA Senior Award for their outstanding scholarship, leadership, and commitment during their years at Punahou. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Alumni Lū‘au Overall Chairs Todd Iacovelli ’02, Megan Abbott ’02 Joswick, and Marisa Brotman ’02 Sjulson , as well as outgoing PAA Board member Kent Kasaoka ’94, in recognition of their dedicated volunteer service.
Joined by alumni, family members, and friends, attendees celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of this year’s honorees and the strength of Punahou’s global ‘ohana. Go Puns!
