As part of a recent Outdoor Education event, Punahou’s entire second grade class had an unforgettable experience at Maunalua Bay, embracing their role as stewards of the land – and creating memories they will cherish through graduation. Working as a cohesive team, they removed invasive limu (algae), which is a crucial step in restoring the bay’s ecosystem. Their efforts will help to revitalize native populations of seagrass, limu and coral.
