The Punahou Music Department will present its annual Concerto Showcase on Friday, February 27 at 7 p.m. in Dillingham Hall, with a live broadcast on YouTube.
This year’s concert celebrates the exceptional musical talent of four soloists from the Class of 2026: Swan Kim (viola), Albert Ko (viola), Max Shinno (violin), and Rylan Terayama (violin). They will perform works by Bartók, Forsyth, Sibelius, and Wieniawski with the Punahou Symphony Strings and guest musicians.
The Concerto Showcase serves as a capstone event for seniors, highlighting their significant musical contributions and inspiring younger students. The program will also include special video vignettes that offer a look into the personal musical journeys of these young artists and their perspectives on the chosen repertoire.
