Big Shot: Me Ke Aloha Pumehana

Holokū Queen Jae-Hee Wong ’21 danced to “‘Ohu ‘ohu O‘ahu” in front of the Lily Pond for this year’s virtual Holokū Pageant.

“The theme for the 2021 May Day Programs and Holokū Pageant, ‘Ola Hawai‘i,’ reminds us of how fortunate we are to live and come from such a special place. It also emphasizes how blessed we are to have persevered through the many challenges 2020 has brought. We have much to be thankful for, our ‘āina, our people and our ‘ike Hawai‘i. Through our collective continued engagement with ‘ike Hawai‘i: seeing our place, knowing our place and being of our place, life continues to thrive.” – Leilehua Phillips ’95 Utu and Lauli‘a Phillips ’98 Ah Wong, co-directors of the Holokū Pageant and Case Middle School May Day Program
