Carnival Silent Auction Goes Live Feb. 2

by Cassidy Kawashima ’23 and Rachel Breitweser ’03

We welcome everyone, including those outside the Punahou community, to take part in bidding at the Carnival’s Silent Auction, which opens online Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 12 p.m. and runs through Saturday, Feb. 5 at 9 p.m. at punahoucarnival.com.

The auction will feature more than 150 items, including hotel stays, handmade quilts and pillows, artwork, jewelry, Punahou mango chutney and lilikoi butter, a Kualoa Ranch ATV and zip line tour, and gift certificates from restaurants and Maui Divers Jewelry.

Bidders will be able to arrange for drive-through, contactless pickup at the Punahou campus for their items. Proceeds from the items, which were generously donated, will support Punahou School in providing need-based financial aid, especially as the the pandemic has continued to impact our community in numerous ways.

To make it a great online experience, students photographed all the donations to be displayed on the auction website. “We’ve put a lot of effort into organizing everything and ensuring that the bidders have a fun and smooth auction,” said Tate Michimoto-Toma ’23, Silent Auction booth co-chair. “I’m also excited to see how our Carnival comes together and to experience the pride of being able to be part of this historically famous event.”
