From President Mike Latham ’86 and Chair of the Board of Trustees Mark Fukunaga ’74
We began last school year with excitement, optimism and a deep sense of gratitude for our donor community, who came together to support our students, faculty and campus through our first successful comprehensive campaign for Punahou. This spring, our reality was dramatically altered and our community came together in even more inspiring and meaningful ways. It has been an unprecedented year, and we firmly believe that Punahou will emerge from this challenge stronger than ever. Ka Punahou, our new spring, continues to serve as a vibrant and renewing source for us all. At this historic moment, we are finding new opportunities to learn, grow and thrive together.
Though we are unsure how long this crisis will last, we are certain that Punahou will stand strong. Students and teachers will fill our campus once more, and music, theatre, art and athletics will flourish here again. Together, we will meet this challenge and emerge from it with a deeper understanding of our mission, a more profound recognition of our interconnectedness and a greater degree of compassion for each other. We are incredibly honored and humbled by our generous Punahou community, and grateful for the chance to endeavor together to ensure a bright future for generations of Punahou students to come.
