The Punahou Dance School presented the Generations of Inspiration Showcase, a stunning celebration of dance through the ages. Performed on May 23, 24 and 25 in Dillingham Hall, the year-end performance explored the evolution of dance through the decades.
The showcase featured a diverse array of performances from students K – 12, including ballet, musical theatre dance, contemporary, jazz, street, tap and pointe. Audiences were transported through time and genre, experiencing the elegance of ballet alongside the dynamic rhythms of street dance. Each performance paid homage to the rich history of dance, honoring the legacy of past dancers and choreographers.
“The highlight of the show was witnessing the dancers develop confidence and the joy and a sense of pride they exuded after a successful performance,” said Annri Opitz-Kostick, Dance School Director.
