Hall of Fame: Glenn Goya (1973)

Glenn Goya ’73 was a three-year letter winner in baseball and two-year letterman in basketball. He was named to the ILH and All State teams in baseball his junior and senior years, but it was the game he pitched on April 29, 1972 that propelled him into the national spotlight.

Glenn pitched a Perfect Game in the finals of the State Championship game against St. Louis: 9 innings, 27 batters, no walks, no errors and no one reached first base! Glenn was recognized by Sports Illustrated for this achievement.

He continued to be a force in baseball at Colorado State University where he led the nation in hitting and was a 1st Team All-American. He was later inducted into CSU’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
