Apr. 14, 2022 – A new Common Sense research report shows that media use is up 17% for tweens and teens since the start of the pandemic. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s important to ensure your kids have a healthy balance between online time and other activities like exercise, sleep, academics, and connecting with family and friends. Instead of focusing on how long children spend on-screen, consider looking at how engaging the content is. Also, have regular check-ins with your kids about their online habits and help them be mindful of their time spent on devices.
This week’s tip comes from Connected Schools at Common Sense.
