Students in Jan Murakami ’86 Furuta’s fifth-grade class spent six weeks preparing for their visit to the Challenger Center Hawai‘i, where they participated in a simulated astronautical mission. They refined their math, written and verbal communications skills. Most importantly, they experienced the strategic outcomes that are achieved through cohesive collaboration.
