Academy Club Fair Connects Students and Interests

Punahou Academy students gathered at Hemmeter Fieldhouse on Sept. 28 for the annual Academy Club Fair, where 120 student clubs showcased opportunities to learn, create, serve and connect beyond the classroom.

Students moved among tables, meeting club leaders and exploring groups representing a broad range of interests. The offerings included the Astronomy Club and the 2090 FRC Robotics Club for students interested in STEM; Glass Club, Idea to Action and Riff & Rhythm for the arts; and clubs centered on culture and tradition, including the Lei Club, Hui Hoʻomau and the Taiko Drums Club. Students could also explore service and sustainability through the Beekeeping Club and Puʻuomānoa Conservation Corp, or connect over shared interests through clubs devoted to mahjong, fishing, K-POP, creative writing and more.

With interests ranging from science and culture to recreation and community service, the fair gave students a chance to discover something new, pursue an existing passion and connect with classmates who share their interests.
