Alumni Week Chapel 2026

Alumni from across generations returned to Thurston Memorial Chapel during Alumni Week for a special chapel service celebrating reflection, remembrance, and the connections that unite the Punahou ‘ohana. The program offered alumni an opportunity to revisit a meaningful part of their Punahou experience while reconnecting with fellow classmates and friends.

Led by Chaplains George Scott and Luana Uluave, the service featured prayers, scripture readings, music, and moments of reflection. President Mike Latham ’86 welcomed attendees back to the chapel, while the Alumni Glee Club enriched the morning with performances of “ʻE Kolu Mea Nui” and “Iesū Me Ke Kanaka Waiwai,” led by Vicky Hollinger ’59.

A particularly moving portion of the service invited guests to honor classmates who have passed by writing notes and lighting tealight candles in their memory. Following the program, attendees gathered in the Chapel Courtyard for refreshments and fellowship, continuing a cherished Alumni Week tradition of connection, reflection, and community.
