A Living Museum

Push a button and watch an Amelia Earhart statue come to life. That’s what parents were treated to Friday in the Sidney and Minnie Kosasa Community as second graders breathed life into famous historical and contemporary figures during their Living Museum exhibition.

Along with researching life stories of such notable people as former U.S. President John Adams, King Kamehameha, anthropologist Jane Goodall and track star Usain Bolt, students used the design thinking process to imagine and create a prototype of a useful object for the person, such as an airbag to protect skier Lindsey Vonn on the slopes.
