Construction for Sidney and Minnie Kosasa Community for Grades 2 – 5 has entered the home stretch. Interior finish work on the studios is ongoing, as is exterior tile installation and painting. At the Junior School Learning Commons, roofing installation is nearly complete and drywall installation has started as structural steel work and interior rough-in work continues.
On the future James Kapae‘alii Scott ’70 Playground, sidewalks, stairs and a bridge are also taking shape.
Construction is expected to finish by June 1 and teachers will move into their new classrooms over the summer. The second phase of Sidney and Minnie Kosasa Community will welcome its first students at the start of the 2019 – 2020 school year.
