The Omidyar K – 1 Neighborhood hosts a myriad of enriching hands-on experiences for children. In the garden, students learn how to safely use tools, make compost and identify bugs, under the guidance of Punahou’s garden resource teacher Eliza Leineweber ’92 Lathrop. Meanwhile, in longtime art teacher Arlene Merritt’s class, creativity takes the lead as students experiment with natural materials and art supplies, learning about observation, drawing, composition and more.
