Flaming ‘P’ Welcomes Families Back

Punahou’s annual fall school spirit celebration, Flaming “P”, returned in a big way. Students, employees, alumni and their families came together for the lively event on Friday, held in person for the first time since the pandemic.

The evening included a chili dinner, keiki activities, live music and a pep rally. The evening capped off with athletes of the year Stryker Scales ’23 and Raya Nakao ’23 igniting the 20-foot tall “P” structure.

The Punahou tradition dates back to the late ’60s and honors Punahou’s legacy of excellence in Athletics, which includes winning more state championships than any other school in the country and 30 alumni Olympians.
