Hall of Fame: Kathy Shipman (1979)

Kathy Shipman '79 was a three-year letter winner in swimming and played varsity volleyball for one year. Kathy held numerous Punahou and state records in swimming, including the record in the 100-yard butterfly, which still stands to this day. She also competed on two U.S. National Teams.

At Arizona State University, she was an All-American in eight events and won 1st Place in the NCAA 400 medley relay. She also had NCAA Top Three finishes in the 50 and 100 butterfly.

Still showing her speed, Kathy set a new record in the 50 M butterfly at the 2002 World Master Games in Melbourne Australia.
