Owen McKibbin, a model athlete, starred in volleyball and soccer before utilizing a different set of talents as a professional model.
McKibbin led Punahou to state titles in both sports in his junior and senior seasons, leading the state in scoring in soccer and earning MVP honors in volleyball in his senior year.
After he was named a USVBA High School All-American for the Outrigger Canoe Club, McKibbin went on to play four years of volleyball for the University of Southern California. He also played beach volleyball professionally from 1987 through 1994.
McKibbin’s lifelong love of sports led him to the next stage of his career as a fitness model.
He was on 19 covers of Men’s Health magazine and was a spokesman for Bowflex for five years. He was also featured in multiple magazines including GQ, Men’s Health, Esquire, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.
