Kindergartners and first graders celebrated May Day by making plumeria and ti-leaf leis. On Friday, the kindergartners gathered in aloha wear to perform their hula as an entire class, the first time they’ve done so. “I’m so excited, I’m going to scream,” said one enthusiastic kindergartner. Students also watched a preview of the virtual May Day performances, which will premiere on Saturday, May 1, for the Punahou community on YouTube.
