Students will start the school year at the newly completed Sidney and Minnie Kosasa Community for Grades 2 – 5, which brings to life Punahou’s educational philosophy for the 21st century. The Community was designed incorporating the latest research about interdisciplinary learning, both indoors and outdoors, providing an environment where students and faculty thrive. The Junior School Learning Commons – adjacent to the beloved Banyan Tree and Barwick Playground – offers students at all grade levels access to innovative spaces and resources to transform their questions into meaningful work, magnifying their learning experiences. Next door, the Patrick H. Quilter Lab for Creative Arts will provide unparalleled opportunities for creative expression for generations to come.
