The many international programs supported by Wo International Center this year were on display at Wo Global Journeys, an evening event on Oct. 18 that gave parents and students a chance to learn about the programs directly from students who participated in them.
Director of Wo International Center Chai Reddy explained the value of student travel during his opening greeting to parents and students. “Having global experiences and opportunities to connect are important,” he said. “The more we develop these connections, the better we prepare students for the future.”
Middle-school and Academy students shared stories of their adventures during breakout sessions spread throughout the Academy Learning Commons in Cooke Library. A number of students who do not attend Punahou also participated in the Center’s programs and were there to share about their travels as well. Students enthusiastically answered questions about the rich experiences gained on trips with the help of photos, videos, cultural artifacts and display boards.
