In April, more than 300 students in grades 2 – 12 showcased their talents in ballet, jazz, tap, street dance and musical theatre in this year’s Dance Finale, the Dance School’s year-end “pau hana” production.
The production spanned six days, with nightly performances in Dillingham Hall, with different classes featured every night. This year’s Pau Hana showings were dedicated to Charlys Ing, who has been with Punahou for more than 40 years, with the majority of that time as the director of Punahou Dance School. Mahalo and aloha to Charlys and current director Kristin Aune for their service to our student dancers for so many years.
Thank you to all of our Punahou Dance School students, faculty, staff and parent volunteers who made this magnificent production happen.
