Twenty-three Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists

Punahou School is proud to celebrate 23 seniors named as National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalists this year. Representing nearly 40% of Hawai‘i’s 60 semifinalists, these students’ academic excellence places them among the top 1% of high school students nationwide.

Selected from a pool of more than 1.3 million entrants, semifinalists are recognized for their exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT. They now advance to the next stage of the competition, where they have the opportunity to earn one of 6,930 National Merit Scholarships totaling nearly $26 million.

We congratulate our Punahou semifinalists for their hard work, dedication and remarkable achievement on this national stage.
