Punahou School honored the graduating Class of 2026 during a memorable Commencement ceremony held May 30 at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Surrounded by thousands of family members, friends and supporters, the graduates celebrated the culmination of their Punahou journey and reflected on the accomplishments, friendships and experiences that shaped their time at the School.

The evening began with a processional led by the Punahou Symphony Orchestra performing “Pomp and Circumstance,” followed by an invocation from Chaplain George Scott. Throughout the ceremony, students, faculty and administrators shared meaningful remarks, musical performances and traditions that highlighted the spirit and achievements of the Class of 2026.

Student speakers Grace Hagino, Elizabeth Chee and Riley Mishina addressed their classmates, while the senior class performed “Ke Aloha o ka Haku,” their class song, “I’ll Bet on Us”, presented “Ka Nohona Pili Kai” through song and hula, and later sang “Lei Mānoa”, “Somewhere Only We Know” and the school song, “Oʻahu a.” The ceremony also featured remarks from Junior School Principal Dr. Todd Chow-Hoy, Academy Principal Gustavo Carrera and President Dr. Michael Latham ’86.

A highlight of the evening came as graduates crossed the stage to receive their diplomas, officially joining the ranks of Punahou alumni. Following the ceremony, graduates gathered with loved ones at Les Murakami Stadium for the traditional lei-giving celebration.

Congratulations to the Punahou Class of 2026 on this remarkable achievement!
