The Punahou Music Department presented its Concerto Showcase 2025 on Friday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in Dillingham Hall, and live on YouTube. The concert featured three extraordinary soloists from the Class of 2025 – Preston Chi (violin), Ashley Jisue Hong (violin), and Gwyneth Tenn (violin) with Punahou Symphony Strings and guest musicians. The program opened with Johann Strauss Jr.’s Die Fledermaus Overture. It was followed with Henri Vieuxtemps’ Violin Concerto No. 5 in A minor, Op. 37, Camille Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concerto No. 3 in B minor, Op. 61, and concluded with Edouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole, Op. 21.
