From expert crafters to hopeful amateurs, the Punahou Alumni Association’s Holiday Wreath Making Workshop brought together a creative group of alumni on November 20 to kick off the season. Held in Dole Hall, the evening featured hands-on instruction from talented lei maker Dillyn Lietzke ’20 of PALAI, who provided locally sourced greenery and guided alumni through the creative process.
The event began with a pūpū reception and holiday cocktails, allowing classmates and friends to catch up before diving into their projects. With all materials and tools provided, the cafeteria quickly transformed into a workshop filled with the sound of “hala-day” cheer.
The gathering offered a perfect opportunity to unwind, get creative – and strengthen the bonds of the alumni community. At the end of the evening, attendees showed off their creations in a group pic, with promises to make this an annual holiday tradition.
