Uahi Island Grill – located at 33 Aulike St. in Kailua – opened in September 2007. Chef and owner Nick Yamada ’97 creates delicious dishes with Asian and local flavors, using locally sourced meats and produce. The spacious dining room and outdoor bar area provide a relaxing and friendly vibe for the customers they consider part of their extended ‘ohana.
Here’s what we ordered:
Seared ahi salad
Red curry fish
Orange duck confit
Sweet potato haupia pie
