Punahou Alumni Association Mid-Atlantic chapter celebrated 10 years of its annual Family Potluck Picnic on a beautiful, hot June weekend on Lake Barcroft in Virginia.
Alumni from the ’50s to the ’10s attended with their families and friends, as they enjoyed freshly made malasadas, local potluck dishes, shave ice, Hawaiian music and hula. The picnic is hosted each year by Trippi ’64 and Tom Penland at their home. Guests lounged in the shade of large trees, while others joined Tom for boat rides on the picturesque lake.
The family picnic is a much-anticipated signature event of the Mid-Atlantic chapter. This year, alumni even made day trips from Philadelphia and New York City to attend.
