Congratulations to Punahou tenth graders Allena Villanueva, Naomi Yokoo, Audrey Chan and Andrea Tay. The all-girl Punahou robotics team was named the winner of the robot performance division at the First Tech Challenge (FTC) State Championship Robotics Competition on Saturday. Kudos to the eight other Punahou teams that also competed that day.

The Punahou boys and girls varsity soccer teams recently traveled to Madrid, where they competed against a local school, trained at the Real Madrid facility, and experienced the local culture and landmarks. Here they are at the famed Roman aqueduct in Segovia. #GoPuns #StudentTravel

For Punahou’s annual food drive to support @HawaiiFoodbank, grades 2 – 5 students in After-School Care created fun food-themed games, using cans as currency, as part of a project initiated by the Case Accelerator for Student Entrepreneurship and Luke Center for Public Service.

Punahou hosted its first-ever student-organized Punahou Invitational Math Meet in Case Middle School on Saturday, which included “mathletes” from schools across the island. Inspired by the story of Sadako Sasaki, students are participating in the @PeaceCraneProject by folding 400 cranes, writing messages of peace, and exchanging the cranes with students at the @OmegaIntlSchool in India.

Two hundred years ago today, Protestant missionaries left Boston for Hawai‘i. These missionaries would eventually found Punahou School. Students are learning about the history of Hawai‘i and New England from 1819 – 1841 in an exhibit in Cooke Learning Commons. #ThisDayInHistory

Congratulations to the nearly 100 people from 25 different countries who took the Oath of Allegiance to become America’s newest citizens. The @USCIS naturalization ceremony was hosted by Punahou's JROTC with a keynote speech by Academy Principal Emily McCarren and performances by the Punahou Chorale.

To celebrate International #PeaceDay, 4th grade teacher Jim Smart and his class planted a milo tree in the Kosasa Community's native plant garden, continuing a 15-year tradition of planting a tree for peace. The class was supported by the Physical Plant crew, Outdoor Education faculty and President Latham, who gave the tree a drink from the Lily Pond.
